STAMFORD, CT—Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. has opened the Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport Hotel.
Owned by an affiliate of Platinum Equity, the hotel completed a comprehensive multimillion-dollar renovation prior to re-opening in order to meet Sheraton brand standards. According to the company, the opening is part of the Sheraton brand’s strategic $8 billion expansion effort.
As part of its renovations, Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport Hotel implemented the Sheraton brand’s signature Link@Sheraton experience. All 200 guestrooms were fully renovated and equipped with the all-white Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed, as well as an oversized work desk, ergonomic chair, high-speed Internet and LCD flat panel television.
The hotel provides approximately 9,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space. Additional amenities include a full-service restaurant and lounge, outdoor pool, Sheraton Club Lounge, and fully renovated fitness facility.
The hotel offers easy access to Pittsburgh International Airport and businesses including Federal Express and GlaxoSmithKline. Nearby attractions include the Pittsburgh Zoo, the Andy Warhol Museum and the shops, restaurants and entertainment at Station Square.
