SANTA FE, NM—The 219-room Eldorado Hotel & Spa, here, has converted a 4,000-sq.-ft. former restaurant space into an additional multi-use venue for meetings and events.
Called The Gallery, the new space is used for weddings, corporate retreats, art-related demonstrations and dinners, among other uses. It is intended to supplement the property's existing 22,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space, which includes three ballrooms, three boardrooms and a 6,500-sq.-ft. outdoor courtyard.
The hotel, which is owned by Guardian Life Insurance and managed by Benchmark Hospitality International, is centrally located in Santa Fe in close proximity to the city's main plaza.
The new group venue is the latest example of a hotel bolstering its group space as that segment of the hotel business continues to rebound, following steep declines during the recession.
