ATLANTA—IHG, in partnership with NewcrestImage, will open a new-build Holiday Inn Express in Oklahoma City; construction is expected to be completed by year end, with an anticipated opening of early 2014.
The Holiday Inn Express Bricktown in Oklahoma City is NewcrestImage’s seventh property developed under the IHG family of hotel brands. The company has an existing portfolio of six Holiday Inn Express properties—representing more than 450 rooms—in Texas and Arkansas, and three hotels in the development pipeline.
Brightman Construction, a wholly owned subsidiary of NewcrestImage, will build the 70,500-sq.-ft., 124-room hotel. The hotel is owned by NewcrestImage Group, and will be managed by Image Hospitality—also a NewcrestImage Group subsidiary. The hotel is franchised by an affiliate of IHG.
