New Castle Promotes Fields, Adds GM

SHELTON, CT—New Castle Hotels & Resorts promoted John Fields to area manager of the Connecticut region, which includes the Hilton Garden Inn, Norwalk, where Terry Rawstern was named general manager, and the Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden Inn here, where he also will have general manager responsibilities.
A veteran hotelier, Fields joined New Castle in 2011 from Linchris Hotel Corp., bringing with him some 20 years' of industry experience in New York and New England. Earlier in his career, Fields earned certification as a Hampton and Hilton Garden Inn general manager and served with Island Hospitality, IHG and Cendant (now Wyndham Worldwide), among others.
Rawstern previously worked as general manager of several Courtyard by Marriott hotels in Connecticut, as well as destination properties in Vail, CO, Orlando, FL, and the Riverwalk in San Antonio, TX.. Most recently, he was an associate hotel director for Celebrity Cruise lines aboard the Celebrity Eclipse and Equinox sailing from Southampton, England, and Rome, Italy, before offering consultation services through Green Turtle Partners in Bucharest, Romania and Rome.
