Hotel Conversion Planned for Historic Beaux Arts Building

WASHINGTON—Honeybee Hospitality, LLC recently purchased the historic Beaux Arts Building located here for $9.5 million and plans to convert the office building into an independent hotel.
"The buyers seized this rare opportunity to acquire a vacant office building with zoning adaptable to hotel use in the heart of the D.C. Central Business District," said Charlotte Seale, associate broker of Donohoe Hotel Advisory Group, who represented Honeybee Hospitality, LLC.
The Beaux Arts Building, located at 1025 15th St., N.W., was originally built in 1895. The nine-story, 29,000-sq.-ft. building last underwent a renovation in 1990.
