NASHVILLE, TN—The Omni Nashville Hotel has opened its doors with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting celebration.
Governor Bill Haslam and First Lady Crissy Haslam, Mayor Karl Dean, members of the Metro Government of Nashville and Davidson County, leaders from Music City Center, Nashville Convention Center Authority, the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp., and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum were on hand for the event.
“Nashville is establishing itself as one of the preeminent leisure and convention destinations in the country–the level of interest and enthusiasm in The Music City is unprecedented,” stated Mike Deitemeyer, president of Omni Hotels & Resorts.
The 21-story, 800-room luxury hotel broke ground a little more than two years ago. According to the company, Brasfield & Gorrie completed construction roughly three months ahead of schedule and on-budget.
HKS Hill Glazier Studio and Looney and Associates were in charge of architecture and design, in which the company wanted to capture the culture and character of Nashville.
To date, the Omni Nashville Hotel has more than 395,000 definite room nights booked, comprised of more than 450 meetings and conventions contracted through 2024. These numbers have been achieved approximately four months ahead of schedule, according to the company.
Located adjacent to the new Music City Center, guests have access to an additional 1.2 million sq. ft. of meeting and exhibit space. It also fully integrates with an expansion of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on three levels.
In addition, the hotel offers Kitchen Notes, an all-day dining restaurant; Bob’s Steak & Chop House; Barlines, a live entertainment venue; Bongo Java, a coffee house institution in Nashville; Mokara Spa, Omni’s signature spa brand; the fourth floor pool deck; and Five and TENN, the hotel’s luxury retail venue, featuring items from local and regional establishments.
