ATLANTA—America’s Best Franchising (ABF) kicked off its Never Better, Always Best 2013 Owners & General Managers Conference here this week.
Taking place at the Emory Conference Center, the event’s speaker lineup includes Katherine Lugar, president/CEO, American Hotel & Lodging Association and Mike Leven, president/COO, Las Vegas Sands Corp.
Doug Collins, ABF’s chairman/CEO, opened the Day 1 General Session by saying, “We’ve come a long way. The economy has gone up, gone down and back up again. ABF has steadily grown throughout each of these cycles." He added, “The result is that today, we have 256 properties made up of five brands, including America’s Best Inns & Suites, Budgetel Inns & Suites, CountryHearth Inns & Suites, Jameson Inn and 3 Palms Hotels & Resorts."
Educational panels during the two-day event include "Social Media Program & Web Presence," "Best Practices for Online Marketing" and "Debt Restructuring."
Conference sponsors include HBO, Fortis Payment Systems and Genares.
