TEMECULA, CA—Pechanga Resort & Casino will undergo a major renovation to change the entire look of its hotel grand entry, lobby, secluded VIP check-in lounge, elevator waiting area, rooftop nightclub, as well as all of its hotel Jacuzzi suites.
In addition to these upgrades, the resort is also making over three of its existing 10 restaurants, and adding an 11th food and beverage outlet. The hotel/resort/casino closed its lobby, two casual dining establishments and one fine dining outlet, as well as its hotel retail shop, on Tuesday, September 3, the day after Labor Day.
Designers have drawn up plans for a complete transformation of the ambience guests will encounter upon entering through the hotel valet entrance. Pechanga’s renovation is expected to be complete by the end of 2013.
“The property is now a little over 10 years old and it is time for a renovation of our grand entry and some of the restaurants,” stated Pechanga Development Corporation President, Patrick Murphy.
When unveiled, interior designer Ann Fleming of Cleo Designs of Las Vegas, stated the new look “will amaze guests because of the scale of the ceilings, that are so high even currently, but it’s hard to tell since there are decor items that made it appear lower than it was.”
She also points to flowing water features when the project is complete, one being a “rain curtain” that looks as if it is emanating from an imaginary place about 25-ft. high. “When it’s all done, we hope visitors will come in and stop and say, ‘Gosh, did you see this?’” referring to featured finishes such as the 20,000 sq. ft. of marble flooring or the live wood edges of the reception tables.
While the Pechanga hotel lobby becomes transformed into a comfortable and timeless space with live wood furnishings and colors that reflect the natural habitat of the surrounding terrain, builders are also hard at work contemporizing the 517-room hotel’s 19 Jacuzzi suites. Bright colors muted by earth tones provide color schemes for the renovated luxury suites.
These 19 luxury spaces provide high definition flat screen TVs, a complete technology panel perfect for showing images from one’s smartphone, tablet, laptop or gaming console on the large flat screen monitor.

The theme of this year’s ALIS conference was “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.” But, lets face it, there are always going to be some people who aren’t happy unless they are worried about something—whether it’s the Fed potentially raising interest rates or that the price of oil is now too low, threatening to cripple the economies of some foreign nations.
