SPOKANE, WA—Red Lion Hotels Corp. inked agreements to open in two new locations in Greater Los Angeles, converting hotels in Ontario and Perris, CA.
“We are looking to expand our brand in additional markets in Southern California and these two hotels are the right fit for our portfolio,” said Ron Burgett, EVP/Lodging and Brand Development. “Both properties will provide new stay opportunities for our Red Lion guests in a region of the country that enjoys strong brand recognition."
One agreement was signed with LFA Hotels, the owners of the former Ayres Grand Boutique Suites in Ontario. The company expects to convert the 107-room hotel within the next 60 days. Located at 204 N. Vineyard Ave., approximately 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, the hotel was most recently affiliated with Magnuson Hotels.
Also signed was an agreement with Best West, LLC, the owners of the former Holiday Inn Express Perris-East, located at 480 S. Redlands Ave. in Perris, about 70 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. This facility, built approximately six years ago, has 105 rooms and is expected to become the Red Lion Inn & Suites Perris by the end of October.
The company has 52 hotels systemwide in 10 states. Red Lion Hotels and Red Lion Inn & Suites offer 8,903 rooms; The Leo Hotel Collection currently has two hotels with 3,256 rooms.
