ARLINGTON, VA—Interstate Hotels & Resorts has appointed Carrie McIntyre as CFO.
In her new role, McIntyre will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for the oversight of corporate and hotel accounting, treasury, tax, financial planning and analysis, asset management, internal audit and risk management functions.
“Interstate’s extensive and talented bench strength translates directly into the company’s success, and individuals like Carrie McIntyre are incredible examples of the company’s emphasis on associate development, growth and retention. Our strength lies within our talent community,” Jim Abrahamson, Interstate’s CEO, said in a statement. “Carrie’s outstanding performance and quick ascent to chief financial officer is proof of her depth of industry and financial knowledge and leadership, and we’re looking forward to seeing her assume this larger, more strategic role that will directly affect Interstate’s long-term growth.”
McIntyre most recently served as the company’s EVP and treasurer. A 12-year vet of the hospitality industry, McIntyre has also worked in corporate controller and senior accountant positions for a technology company and accounting firm, as well as VP and corporate controller at MeriStar Hotels & Resorts.
McIntyre holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
