Dickersbach Elected Chairperson of AH&LA Technology & E-Business Committee

NEW YORK—Mike Dickersbach, VP, information technology, Thayer Lodging Group, has been elected chairperson of the American Hotels & Lodging Association’s (AH&LA) Technology & e-Business committee.
The committee provides AH&LA members with advice and guidance on hospitality technology issues, including general advice on the applicability of new and emerging technologies and on specific regulatory issues related to hospitality technology. The chair is elected for a two-year term. Jim Lamb, CIO, Interstate Hotels & Resorts, has been elected to the position of vice chair.
Dickersbach, a 15-year veteran of the industry, oversees the technology, systems infrastructure and audio visual integration within Thayer Lodging Group’s portfolio. He also oversees the daily IT operations of Thayer Lodging Group Inc. and EMCVenues.

When you hear all the lodging industry projections for the months and years to come, much of the robust growth is forecast to be the result of the expected influx of travelers from China.
