The Benjamin Completes $10M Reno

NEW YORK—The Benjamin, a luxury boutique hotel here, has concluded the final stage of a $10-million renovation.
Lauren Rottet, namesake and founder of Rottet Studio, was charged with the renovation by Denihan Hospitality Group, which included a complete guestroom redesign. Done in a palette of whites, silvers, mink and golds, the room features design choices such as mirror-meets-mural art pieces over the bed, mirrored coffee tables in suites and streamline parson’s desks. Select suites include a kitchenette with spiral-patterned wall coverings designed exclusively for The Benjamin by Rottet Studio. The refresh of the Benjamin’s premier suite will be unveiled in early 2014.
The rooms redesign is the finishing piece of a larger project, which also included the renovation of the second floor with five residentially styled rooms for events and meetings, a Benjamin Guest Lounge and a new lobby.
In addition to the guestroom redesign, the hotel will launch new programs this fall, including updates to the hotel’s Sleep Program and pet offerings curated by BarkBox.
