KA‘ANAPALI, MAUI—The 508-room Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa has teamed with Vino-Barista International Co., Ltd. to become the first major resort in the United States to integrate the Vino-Barista Wine Preservation System within its property.
The new system will allow Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa to change the way wine is offered by the glass to guests by allowing for a bottle of wine to be opened and poured without exposing the wine to oxygen at any time throughout the process, thereby preventing oxidation.
Brandon J. Maeda, director of food and beverage for the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa, stated, “The system affords us the advantage of serving top-tier wines by the glass to our guests that we would not otherwise have the opportunity to offer, which allows us to greatly exceed guest expectations and elevate their food and beverage experience to a degree that was previously not possible.
