MOSCOW—The Novotel Moscow City, Accor’s fifth hotel in Moscow and its 16th in Russia, has opened.
The project, which had a total investment of $160 million, is the result of a partnership with Tashir, a real estate developer and holding company, and with investor CJSC Soglasie. Accor operates the hotel under a long-term management contract.
Located in the new business district, Moscow City, the hotel offers 360 rooms, designed by Atome Associes bureau, as well as eight multifunction meeting rooms, a WebCorner equipped with iMacs, a fitness center and MC Traders restaurant, which offers European, Asian, American and Russian fare.
According to Accor, this opening is part of a strategy to have 50 hotels in Russia and CIS by 2016. The company also plans to open hotels in new countries such as Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Kirghizstan.
