Omni Hotels & Resorts Closes Purchase on Five Resorts

IRVING, TX—Omni Hotels & Resorts and KSL Capital Partners, LLC, have closed the purchase and sale of five resort properties.
The resorts are the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, TX; Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, CA; Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, CA; The Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC; and The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, VA.
KSL had acquired the properties over a few years and had invested recently in the resorts, with additions such as the Canyon Ranch SpaClub and Allegheny Springs pool complex at The Omni Homestead; an expansive renovation of The Omni Grove Park Inn; guestroom and meeting space upgrades at the Omni Barton Creek; a nearly $50 million renovation of the guestrooms, public spaces, golf courses, as well as an addition of the new adult pool facility and member ship lounge, at Omni La Costa; and the addition of the Splashtopia water playground at Omni Rancho Las Palmas.

When you hear all the lodging industry projections for the months and years to come, much of the robust growth is forecast to be the result of the expected influx of travelers from China.
