SHELTON, CT—New Castle Hotels & Resorts has named Richard L. Minotta director of sales of the 145-room SpringHill Suites Tarrytown, NY.
A career hotelier, Minotta most recently led the $25 million renovation of the Hudson Hotel in New York City on behalf of the APCO Group. Previously, he served as national accounts director for Primero Mundo Meetings and Incentives, driving $2.2 million in South American-based business to New York City hotels. Earlier in his career, Minotta worked in varying sales capacities for the industry’s leading brands, including Marriott, Loews, Hilton and IHG.
“Over the past 20 years, Richard has distinguished himself as a sales leader with most of our industry’s best known, full service brands,” Gerry Chase, president and COO of New Castle Hotels & Resorts, said in a statement. “The additional experience gained from an all-suite, extended stay property will help him develop operational skills needed to advance his career and give this market leading hotel the benefit of an exceptionally well-qualified sales pro.”
