CHARLOTTE, NC—IHG will open the Crowne Plaza Charlotte Executive Park hotel here.
Formerly a Marriott, the property will undergo an extensive multimillion-dollar renovation, including guestrooms and common areas, funded by MAM-Charlotte Hotel, LLC, the hotel’s owner. Atlanta-based McGlashan Hospitality manages the hotel, which is franchised by an affiliate of IHG.
The hotel has 297 guestrooms, including three junior suites, as well as an indoor pool, outdoor pool, outdoor dining terrace and bar, a business center and a fitness center. In addition, it offers 15,000 sq. ft. of meeting space including 18 meeting rooms and a ballroom.
The 18-story hotel is located close to destinations such as the Bank of America stadium, the Charlotte International Speedway, Carowinds Amusement Park, various corporate offices and Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
According to the company, the hotel is one of several Crowne Plaza properties expected to open throughout the U.S. this year, including: Detroit, MI; New York City; Stamford, CT; Lansing, MI; Baltimore, MD; and Long Island, NY.
