DENVER—Sage Hospitality has named Kenneth Widmaier as Chief Operating Officer. Widmaier joins Sage from Destination Hotels & Resorts, where he most recently served as the senior vice president of operations.
For Destination Hotels & Resorts, Widmaier oversaw a portfolio of 12 hotels with more than $300 million in annual revenue. He spent more than 20 years with Destination Hotels, working with major hospitality brands and independent hotels, as well as the investor community.
Prior to Destination Hotels, Widmaier spent 15 years in management at Marriott Hotels & Resorts, where he honed his operational expertise in a variety of locations, including Pittsburgh, Boston and Los Angeles. He is a graduate of Florida International University and also holds a Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management Certificate from Cornell University.
"Ken is an extraordinary leader with proven expertise in ensuring long-term planning and strategic direction for new and existing properties. He has been instrumental in driving revenues throughout his portfolio and has extensive experience working closely with large institutional investors," Walter Isenberg, president and CEO of Sage Hospitality, said in a statement. "Ken also has an impressive track record of building effective teams and developing individual talent, something we value highly at Sage."
