KITCHENER, ONTARIO—Multi-million dollar renovations to the Delta Kitchener-Waterloo Hotel and Conference Centre in downtown will begin this month. Vista Hospitality plans to upgrade the current hotel to a completely renovated Crowne Plaza by Fall 2013.
During the transition, the property will be known as the Kitchener Waterloo Hotel and Conference Centre. Renovating and converting to an upscale Crowne Plaza Hotel is in line with the current and future revitalization plans for downtown Kitchener.
The hotel renovations will occur in two phases. Phase one is focused on transforming all hotel guestrooms and public spaces. Phase two will include meeting and conference space and will be completed in early 2014. The Crowne Plaza Kitchener-Waterloo will have 201 hotel guestrooms and over 17,000 square feet of conference and meeting space.
