SKB and Robert Riley Launch New Hotel Group

PORTLAND, OR—ScanlanKemperBard Companies (SKB), based here, and hotel industry veteran Robert Riley have joined forces to form SKB Hotel Group.
The new group will specialize in providing hospitality financial advisory services and hotel and resort investment and development. SKB Hotel Group will provide capital for and develop hotel and resort projects under the direction of Riley as president/CEO.
Prior to this, Riley has served as the CEO of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (Hong Kong), Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts and Armani Hotels. He will primarily be based in SKB’s Portland office.
SKB has also recently partnered with Denver developers Jeff Selby and The Nichols Partnership’s Randy Nichols to develop a 95-acre resort hotel, spa, villas and winery in Napa, CA, budgeted at $275 million. It plans to break ground next spring.

When you hear all the lodging industry projections for the months and years to come, much of the robust growth is forecast to be the result of the expected influx of travelers from China.
