LONDON—One Leicester Street hotel opens here today, the latest project from Singaporean hotelier Peng Loh and Chef Patron Tom Harris.
Part of the Unlisted Collection, One Leicester Street is located at the former St. John Hotel site in the Chinatown district.. The new hotel joins the Collection's six boutique hotels and 12 restaurants located in Singapore, Shanghai, London and in 2014, Sydney.
With branding by A Practice for Everyday Life and interiors by Universal Design Studio, One Leicester Street offers guests a15-room hotel with a bar and restaurant.
The brand identity for One Leicester Street permeates every part of the hotel and restaurant, from details such as the luggage labels and specially commissioned menu illustrations, to handmade staff uniforms and painted typographic signage on the walls and doors. The lobby features a timber desk and soft-gray walls.
The Restaurant at One Leicester Street is headed by Tom Harris, previously head chef of St. John Chinatown, where in 2012 he gained a Michelin star. One Leicester Street will serve breakfast and brunch every day.
