Rosewood Abu Dhabi Set to Open Today

ABU DHABI—Rosewood Abu Dhabi, a five-star hotel on the waterfront of Sowwah Square, will open today, marking the entry of the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts brand in the UAE.
Rosewood Abu Dhabi will feature 189 rooms and suites, 58 serviced residences, 73 residences for long-term lease and four penthouses.
The 34-story hotel is located on Al Maryah Island (formerly Sowwah Island) in Abu Dhabi's new Central Business District and features direct climate-controlled links to neighboring Sowwah Square offices, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and The Galleria at Sowwah Square.
Rosewood Abu Dhabi will feature nine signature restaurants and lounges; eight fully equipped conference and event spaces, including a ballroom that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests; pool and gym facilities and Sense, A Rosewood Spa. The interiors will feature materials such as Italian marble, an American walnut table and custom and hand-blown chandeliers from the Czech Republic.
The Rosewood collection comprises 18 properties in eight countries. Rosewood Abu Dhabi is the fourth Middle East property managed by Rosewood, including Al Faisaliah Hotel and Hotel Al Khozama in Riyadh and Rosewood Corniche in Jeddah.

When you hear all the lodging industry projections for the months and years to come, much of the robust growth is forecast to be the result of the expected influx of travelers from China.
