PETION-VILLE, HAITI—The Best Western Premier Pétion-Ville, the first branded hotel in Haiti, has opened. Located in the suburb of Port-au-Prince, in close proximity to the international airport, this is the first full-service corporate, Haitian-owned hotel with a United States chain affiliation.
Designed by Kellie Sirna and Stacy Elliston of Studio 11 Design, the hotel features a contemporary boutique atmosphere. The property's 106 guestrooms, including three spacious Imperial and Executive Suites, incorporate chic design and local art along with high-speed Internet and personalized service, including private butler service, according to the firm. The rooms overlook panoramic views of the mountains, the city and some have views of the ocean.
The lobby bar and restaurants offer options for casual meetings. Four meeting rooms, including a board room, offer venues for six to 200 people. Onsite features include a full service spa, swimming pool and fitness center, an innovative lobby bar, gourmet international restaurant Le Michel and a whisky bar.
