Courtyard San Diego Downtown Completes $5.8M Reno

SAN DIEGO—The Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Downtown, located in the Gaslamp Quarter, completed a $5.8 million renovation of all public spaces, meeting rooms and guestrooms.
The hotel, housed in the historic San Diego Trust and Savings Bank building, is owned by affiliates of Wheelock Street Capital, LLC, and managed by Sage Hospitality.
As part of the renovation, the hotel now offers The Lobby, a space for dining, working and relaxing. Changes to the lobby and public spaces incorporate design components that reflect the building's history while remaining consistent with Courtyard by Marriott’s design standards. The changes include a new business center, media pods, a GoBoard and an expanded "The Market."
Jody Blackinton serves as general manager of the Courtyard San Diego Downtown, which has 230 guestrooms and 15 suites.
