Hilton Signs Management Agreement for DoubleTree in Mexico

MCLEAN, VA—Hilton Worldwide has signed a management agreement with YAPAR SA de CV for a 130-room DoubleTree by Hilton in Toluca, Mexico.
Upon completion of a major renovation and the addition of a new 50-room tower, the Hotel Campanario is expected to reopen as DoubleTree by Hilton Toluca in late 2014.
Located in the industrial center of Toluca just 20 minutes from the international airport and nearby attractions, the 8-story DoubleTree by Hilton Toluca will have 130 guestrooms, including 80 renovated rooms and 50 new rooms that will form part of the tower addition. This upscale, full-service hotel will feature a traditional hacienda-style design complete with courtyards and open public spaces.
The hotel will also offer two restaurants, a bar and a café, as well as recreational facilities including a fitness center, indoor swimming pool and retail shops. Other amenities include more than 6,500 sq. ft. of flexible function space including a complimentary, 24-hour business center, and two new junior ballrooms as part of the new tower.

When you hear all the lodging industry projections for the months and years to come, much of the robust growth is forecast to be the result of the expected influx of travelers from China.
