LONDON—WATG, a design firm, has opened an office in Istanbul and made several key appointments.
According to the firm, it is focused on building a solid platform for the Turkey and CIS operations, seeing not only new opportunities in the hotel sector in both urban and resort locations, but also the potential to work alongside Turkish developers on regeneration and new-build, mixed-use projects.
Lisya Sullum has been appointed director of the new office. Sullam has been with the firm since 2007 and has been involved in a number of high-profile projects including Olivion Golf Resort & Missoni Hotel in Antalya Belek and Bodrum Viceroy and luxury residential development in Gumusluk, Turkey.
In addition, Ayman Ezzeddine has been appointed director of business development for the Middle East and Africa. Ezzeddine will be based in Dubai and will be responsible for building on WATG's current market presence by leveraging the WATG brand and fueling growth for MEA region.
Andrea Wagner has also joined WATG as corporate marketing manager. Based at the company's headquarters in Irvine, Wagner will be charged with supporting WATG's expansion strategy and shaping global marketing efforts to extend the company's expertise in architectural design and consultancy. She joins WATG with 15 years of international experience in marketing and finance management within the industry.
