Taj Marks 100-Hotel Milestone in India

GURGAON, INDIA–The Taj Group has opened its 100th hotel in its home country of India, the 208-room Vivanta by Taj here.
The Taj Group has 117 hotels globally, including three luxury properties in the U.S. in New York, Boston and San Francisco. Vivanta by Taj is the Group's hip, lifestyle brand. There are presently 26 upper-upscale Vivanta by Taj Hotels & Resorts.
Gurgaon is a city 20 miles south of New Delhi. Known as the Millennium City, it has grown into one of the country's major business hubs. The Vivanta by Taj is located downtown near the central business district.

When you hear all the lodging industry projections for the months and years to come, much of the robust growth is forecast to be the result of the expected influx of travelers from China.
