Melia Names Two Regional Directors of Group Sales for Global Collection

MIAMI, FL—Melia Hotels International has hired Caroline Ball and Ron Warner as directors of group sales for its global collection of hotels and resorts, including Gran Melia, Melia, ME by Melia, Paradisus, Innside, Tryp and Sol.
Ball and Warner will be responsible for groups, meetings, incentive sales and conventions, as well as maintaining client relationships for Melia’s national accounts. Ball will be responsible for the regions of Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC, while Warner will be responsible for Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan and Wisconsin.
Ball has been in the industry since 1993, and she spent the last 12 years with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts. Since 2003, she served as director of worldwide sales for Hyatt Hotels in the Washington, DC area markets and the Southeast US markets.
Warner has 30 years of experience in the travel industry. Most recently, he held the position of director of operations for Maxvantage, where he was responsible for leading a team of meeting managers and sourcing managers in the US and Canada. Prior to that, he was national manager for the Canadian American Express Platinum card travel service, leading a team of travel agents specializing in the luxury sector. Warner also held the position of national manager of supplier relations with American Express in the Leisure sector.
