Four Points Expands in Tennessee

CHATTANOOGA, TN–Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has opened the 108-room Four Points by Sheraton here, following a $5.8 million upgrade.
Owned and operated by 3H Group Hotels, the former Clarion hotel completed the renovation program prior to flying the Four Points flag. The hotel, which is in close proximity to the local airport, features 950 sq. ft. of meeting and event space, a full-service restaurant, seasonal outdoor swimming pool, 24-hour-a-day fitness center and business center.
The Four Points brand has more than 170 hotels open worldwide and has Starwood's largest pipeline in North America.

When you hear all the lodging industry projections for the months and years to come, much of the robust growth is forecast to be the result of the expected influx of travelers from China. In what could only be seen as good news for the industry, that expectation moved a little closer to reality when President Obama signed a visa waiver extension for Chinese travelers earlier this month.
