Half of the new Sheraton hotels will open in China, while others will be located in markets like Latin America, the Middle East and Turkey.
Notable openings in Asia-Pacific include the following: the Sheraton Huzhou Hot Spring Resort in China, which boasts a ring-shaped structure designed by architect Ma Yansong; Sheraton New Caledonia Bourail Resort and Spa; and Sheraton Chandigarh Hotel in India.
The company plans to open its 500th Sheraton hotel in 2015.
