TELLURIDE, CO—The Hotel Madeline Telluride, a luxury boutique hotel, has added 12 queen-bedded guestrooms as the ski season gets underway. The hotel currently has 96 guestrooms, 11 suites and 16 condominium units. The hotel, which is located within walking distance of the gondola connecting Telluride's Mountain Viaage with its historic downtown, is also adding a new entrance and more upscale retail outlets. The Hotel Madeline features a signature restaurant, full-service spa and more than 3,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space with views of the surrounding mountains. The most recent NYU Conference, earlier this month proved, once and for all, that the lodging industry has finally turned the corner and happy days are, indeed, here again. While the economists and pundits all provided plenty of anecdotal evidence to bear that out in terms of supply and demand ratios, RevPAR projections, asset values and all the other metrics, that’s not what has me convinced.
