TAMPA, FL—McKibbon Hotel Management, Inc. promoted Randy Hassen to president and Bruce Baerwalde to EVP of the company.
Hassen will oversee the activities of all departments and will report directly to CEO Vann Herring.
Hassen joined McKibbon in 1991 as a houseman at the Courtyard by Marriott in Athens, GA, while a student at the University of Georgia. He accepted his first general manager assignment as the opening GM of the Courtyard by Marriott Tampa North in 1995. In 1998, he opened the Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Downtown. He was promoted to director of operations in 2000, VP/operations in 2007 and SVP/operations in 2009.
Baerwalde will assume responsibility for all hotel operations, overseeing the activities of the company’s directors of operations, and will report to Hassen.
He joined McKibbon in 1996 as the opening general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott in Gainesville, FL. In1997, he moved to the Residence Inn by Marriott brand, serving as opening GM of the Residence Inn by Marriott Tampa North. In 1998, he opened the Courtyard by Marriott Maitland/Orlando. Baerwalde was promoted to director of operations in 2000, VP/operations in 2007 and SVP/operations in 2009.
McKibbon Hotel Management, Inc.'s hotel portfolio includes more than 70 managed and owned/managed properties throughout the Southeast, including 10 hotels in the Tampa area.
