JOHNS ISLAND, SC—Local Hotel Adventures, an independent hotel management company, began construction of The Andell Inn here near Kiawah Island, a 10,000-acre barrier island located 21 miles south of Charleston, SC.
An independent boutique hotel, The Andell Inn is scheduled to open in 2014 and will be located at Freshfields Village, a shopping and dining destination at the crossroads of Kiawah, Seabrook and Johns Island. The property is a lifestyle hotel concept created by Don Semmler, a 34-year veteran of the hospitality industry and CEO of Local Hotel Adventures.
The Andell Inn's concept will blend modern design with the convenience of apartment living as each room will encompass a full kitchen and living space. The 100-room hotel will offer three room types: studios, one-, and two-bedroom layouts that have the ability to be joined together to create large multi-room suites. The property will offer amenities such as a pool, fitness center, great room with a bar, as well as complimentary breakfast and wireless Internet access.
The Andell Inn will be independently owned and operated.
