PARSIPPANY, NJ—Lodging Interactive has appointed Roman Aluisy as director of business development. Prior to joining the company, Aluisy served as sales manager for InnVite CRS powered by InnLink LLC and director of business development for REZlink International. He has also worked as sales and marketing consultant to Vantage Hospitality, regional VP of franchise sales and development for Country Hearth Inns & Suites and director of franchise sales and development for both Suburban Lodges od America (Southeast) and Cendant Corp. (now Wyndham Hotel Group).

The most recent NYU Conference, earlier this month proved, once and for all, that the lodging industry has finally turned the corner and happy days are, indeed, here again. While the economists and pundits all provided plenty of anecdotal evidence to bear that out in terms of supply and demand ratios, RevPAR projections, asset values and all the other metrics, that’s not what has me convinced.
