LISLE, IL—Richfield Hospitality has assumed management of the Wyndham Lisle-Chicago Hotel and Executive Meeting Center here. The 242-room, full-service hotel was recently renovated. The new guestrooms offer 100% cotton bedding, Bath and Bodyworks True Blu amenities and high-speed WiFi access. Some rooms and suites also offer CleanAir technology, and executive level accommodations feature Sunday-to-Thursday executive lounge amenities, including a complimentary breakfast and evening reception, as well as Wyndham robes and slippers. The hotel features three dining options: a Coffee Bean Express pantry; a dinner-only restaurant, 3 Deuces; and Union Station, which serves breakfast and lunch daily. It also offers a lobby lounge, indoor pool, racquetball courts, a game room and 25,000 sq. ft. of flexible event space.

The most recent NYU Conference, earlier this month proved, once and for all, that the lodging industry has finally turned the corner and happy days are, indeed, here again. While the economists and pundits all provided plenty of anecdotal evidence to bear that out in terms of supply and demand ratios, RevPAR projections, asset values and all the other metrics, that’s not what has me convinced.
