ATLANTA, GA—America’s Best Franchising, based here, has purchased the Jameson Inn hotel brand.
The acquisition includes 12 hotels in Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia and Illinois.
Formerly owned by Argila Jameson Brand, LLC, since 2006, approximately 100 Jameson hotels were foreclosed on earlier this year, and the creditor is in the process of converting them to other brands.
For the first time in the brand’s history, franchise opportunities will be available. Doug Collins, chairman/CEO of America’s Best Franchising, indicated the company plans to use franchise sales throughout the United States and the world to grow the brand significantly.
Jameson Inn will be the fifth upper-economy brand in the America’s Best Franchising portfolio, following America’s Best Inns & Suites, Budgetel Inns & Suites, Country Hearth Inns & Suites and Parkside Hotels & Resorts.
America’s Best Franchising also operates the upscale 3 Palms brand for independent hotels.
The company now operates almost 300 properties.
