SERENGETI, TANZANIA–The 77-room Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti has opened here, the first Four Seasons property in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The luxury property's guestroom count includes 12 suites with plunge swimming pools and five freestanding villas with their own full-size swimming pools. Each room features an elevated open-air sun deck, which provides views over the nearby Serengeti National Park and allows guests to directly observe the area's abundant wildlife roaming free.
Toronto-based Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts plans two additional properties in Sub-Saharan Africa. One will be in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, while the second will be a beach resort on the island of Zanzibar. Projected opening dates for the two upcoming properties weren't disclosed.
