MCLEAN, VA—Hilton Hotels & Resorts, based here, will open its second hotel in Alexandria, Egypt. The brand signed a management agreement with Delta for Tourism & Hotels Company to open a new 158-room, conversion property, the Hilton Alexandria Corniche. It is expected to open in 2013.
Rudi Jagersbacher, president of Hilton Worldwide Middle East & Africa said in a statement: "I am thrilled we continue to build on our important legacy in Egypt, a country we have served for more than 50 years. Alexandria is an inspired choice for our latest signing; it is a vibrant city with a strong business and tourism sector and our new hotel, commanding a superior beachfront location, will perfectly complement the facilities at our existing city-based hotel in Alexandria."
The hotel will feature two large function rooms, four meeting rooms, a business center, three restaurants and two bars. It will also offer a health club and spa, private beach and outdoor pool.
This will be the 19th Hilton Worldwide property in the country.
