BUENOS AIRES—Worldhotels added the Savoy Hotel Buenos Aires to its Deluxe Collection of hotels. The 164-room property was built in 1910 as the city’s first luxury hotel in the downtown area and is now owned by Buenos Aires-based Fragral S.A. Guestrooms and suites all feature a large desk area, complimentary Internet access and minibars. The top floor includes 30 executive-level rooms with access to VIP services, views of the city and a private lounge. There also is a fitness center. Other hotel amenities include complimentary breakfast, on-site car-rental desk and meeting/conference space supported by a full-service business center. Fine dining is available in Las Manzanas Restaurant, which features a wide variety of Mediterranean and Argentinean dishes. Drinks and hot beverages may be ordered at the Imperio lobby bar. “The Savoy Hotel is not only a spectacular property, it is ideally located near important business and entertainment centers,” said Tom Griffiths, VP/The Americas for Worldhotels. “We believe this high-visibility hotel will generate regional interest and growth opportunities for our hotel group....” Mariano Barbeito serves as the hotel's general manager .
