MERRILLVILLE, IN—The Hilton Garden Inn Salt Lake City Airport has opened six weeks ahead of schedule and under budget. The hotel, located at 4975 Wiley Post Way, is developed and owned by REI Real Estate Services and White Lodging affiliates. The hotel will be operated by White Lodging, based here. "We are thrilled to bring the first newly constructed Hilton-affiliated hotel in over 20 years to the airport market,” Deno Yiankes, president and CEO of White Lodging's Investments and Developments Division, said in a statement. The 172-room Hilton Garden Inn, is larger than a traditional Hilton Garden Inn with ballroom space accommodating up to 300. The hotel offers complimentary WiFi, a 24-hour business center and 3,500 sq. ft. of meeting space. Each room is equipped with a 37-in. LCD TV, mini-refrigerator and microwave, and guests have access to the 24-hour fitness center and the adjacent heated, indoor swimming pool. Complimentary shuttle service to the Salt Lake City International Airport is offered.
