NEW YORK, NY—Scout Hotels has promoted Robin Kirk to president and has recruited Tom Grassle to fill the new position of VP of acquisitions & development. The announcement was made by Alan Worden, principal Scout Real Estate Capital LLC, parent company of Scout Hotels. A 30-year veteran of the hospitality industry, Kirk joined Scout Hotels two years ago as COO. Throughout his career, Kirk has gained experience in both branded and independent hotels on property and in corporate positions. His experience includes senior management positions with MeriStar Hospitality, Sage Hospitality Resources, The Briad Group and CSM Lodging. His on-property experience includes general manager positions at The Hotel Hershey and The Philadelphia Hilton & Towers. As VP of acquisitions & development, Tom Grassle is charged with implementing Scout’s investment and business development strategies. A seasoned hospitality executive, Grassle spent five years working as an investment advisor for Molinaro Koger, a global real estate brokerage firm with assignments in the U.S., the Caribbean and South America. Prior experience includes seven years with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. where he served as director, joint venture real estate/real estate portfolio management.
