TORONTO, CANADA–Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts has opened a 202-room luxury hotel in a mixed-use development here. The Shangri-La, Toronto, is the second hotel in North America and the second in Canada for the Hong Kong-based chain. The Shangri-La, Vancouver, opened in 2009. The Toronto hotel occupies the first 17 stories of a new 66-story tower. The remaining floors contain condominium apartments. The hotel is in close proximity to both Toronto's entertainment district and its central business district.
