KENNEBUNKPORT, ME—US Hotels has acquired two boutique hotels from The Carlyle Group to add to its portfolio of owned and managed properties in New England.
The new properties are The Orchards in Williamstown, MA, and The Centennial in Concord, NH. The Orchards is a 49-room hotel in the Berkshire Mountains features 3,100 sq. ft. of event and meeting halls. The Centennial Hotel is a Victorian Landmark property, which features conference and private event space, as well as the Granite Restaurant and Bar.
The most recent NYU Conference, earlier this month proved, once and for all, that the lodging industry has finally turned the corner and happy days are, indeed, here again. While the economists and pundits all provided plenty of anecdotal evidence to bear that out in terms of supply and demand ratios, RevPAR projections, asset values and all the other metrics, that’s not what has me convinced.
