SAN DIEGO—Paradise Point Resort & Spa here on Mission Bay has become the first hotel in San Diego to offer electric cars for one-way “start and end” or round-trip rental as an eco-friendly and cost-conscious mode of transportation for hotel guests. Powered by an electric engine, the cars can travel up to 84 miles on a single charge and can be dropped anywhere within a 27-mile service area. The hotel offers six charging stations. Insurance, recharging, cleaning, roadside assistance, GPS navigation, insurance and metered parking are all included in the rental fee.
