LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ—Bedbug University: North American Summit 2012 will take place September 6-7 at the Red Rock Casino and Spa in Las Vegas. This year’s summit will provide the hospitality industry with an international perspective on how to manage bed bugs. AntiCimex will provide expertise. 23 bed bug experts will speak about strategies for legal protection, bed bug control, staff education and treatment cost reduction, among other topics. Dr. Michael Porter will also speak, in addition to Dr. Dini Miller and Richard Cooper, all leading authorities on bed bugs. The summit will also feature its EXPOcentral, one of the largest expositions of bed bug-related vendors and services. This forum lets those who attend decide who to select as future service partners by taking in hands-on demonstrations from 75 exhibitors and comparing multiple manufacturers. Additionally, there will be the “Interactive Stakeholder Discussions,” which allows attendees to speak directly to experts and with each other to exchange information, ask questions and tackle concerns. Experts in pest management, legal services and governmental regulations will be present. The free “Beer Tasting Reception” will also be featured in EXPOcentral as well as “Night Out with the Experts” at the Cabo Mexican Restaurant.

While the economists and pundits all provided plenty of anecdotal evidence to bear that out in terms of supply and demand ratios, RevPAR projections, asset values and all the other metrics, that’s not what has me convinced.
