Delamar Southport Upgrades Presidential Suite

OUTHPORT, CT–The 44-room Delamar Southport has upgraded its Presidential Suite, now named for actors Joanne Woodward and her husband Paul Newman.
The 2,900 sq. ft., three-bedroom suite honors Woodward and the late Newman for their charitable efforts. The couple were long-time residents of the area. The hotel is owned by the Greenwich Hospitality Group.

The most recent NYU Conference, earlier this month proved, once and for all, that the lodging industry has finally turned the corner and happy days are, indeed, here again. While the economists and pundits all provided plenty of anecdotal evidence to bear that out in terms of supply and demand ratios, RevPAR projections, asset values and all the other metrics, that’s not what has me convinced.
