KAZAN, RUSSIA–Courtyard by Marriott has opened a 150-room hotel here, Russia’s sixth largest city. The hotel, which Marriott will operate under a management agreement with Transstroibank, is the fourth Courtyard in Russia. One of these is in Moscow. Marriott expects to open a second Courtyard in Moscow later this year.

The most recent NYU Conference, earlier this month proved, once and for all, that the lodging industry has finally turned the corner and happy days are, indeed, here again.
