HILTON HEAD, SC—The Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort will undergo a $17 million rejuvenation; phase one is scheduled to be complete in April 2013.

The full-scale renovation, which includes a second phase set to begin in late 2013, features an entirely new arrival experience, with enhancements to the porte-cochere, cedar shake and wood accents, pendant lanterns and new lighting sconces. The new lobby space boasts lounge-style concierge areas and vibrant-colored walls juxtaposed against the white-on-white ceiling.

It also includes a renovation of the existing family and adult pools, the addition of a kid-friendly “Splash Pad” and zero-entry pool with ledge seating edging the dune line. In addition, the Buoy Bar has been enhanced, and new pavers and landscaping have been added. The new deck features a large fire pit.

Palmetto Market’s outside deck has been extended, while the Palmetto Courtyard has also been enhanced.

The more than 15,000 square feet of current meeting space offers new wall coverings, lighting, art work and flooring.

In addition, Ocean Tides Spa will feature a full-service salon with manicure, pedicure and hair stations, as well as three new treatment rooms, changing rooms and a relaxation area.
