SINGAPORE—Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has promoted K.B. Kachru to chairman of the hotel group in South Asia, and appointed Raj Rana to succeed him as CEO.
Kachru and Rana will both report directly to Simon C. Barlow, president, Asia-Pacific, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, who is based here. The changes will take effect on July 1.
In his new role as chairman, Kachru will continue to drive the growth of the company’s hotels in South Asia, as well as mentor Rana in his new role as CEO.
Rana, a 22-year veteran of Carlson Rezidor, was most recently the VP, Radisson Franchise Operations, Americas, based in Minneapolis.
Rana starts his new role on April 1, and will work alongside Kachru until June 30.
