RALEIGH-DURHAM, NC—DoubleTree by Hilton has opened the DoubleTree by Hilton Raleigh-Durham Airport at Research Triangle Park.
Known locally as the “Mansion on the Hill,” the former Hilton hotel converted to DoubleTree following a seven-month, $8-million renovation that included exterior and interior public spaces, guestroom makeovers and the introduction of a new locally-driven restaurant concept, Vintage Carolina. Two covered porches have been added to the 1,800 sq. ft. of outdoor space.
In addition, the hotel offers a grand veranda with wicker rocking chairs and porch swings, an outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour Precor fitness center and a 24-hour business center.
Driftwood Hospitality owns and operates the 248-key hotel. General Manager Henry Naber, who has more than 27 years of hospitality experience, joined the hotel’s management staff this month.
